Since the beginning of modern governments, controlling and dominating public opinion has been important. Accordingly, from the point of view of political sociology, the control of public opinion depends to some extent on the movement of new social forces in politics and the hegemonic dominance of the government.The main goal of this article is the sociological study of public opinion management in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Considering the vast transformations of Iranian society, the main question is how does the Islamic Republic affect public opinion? In response to the main question, it seems that the politicization of social and private life based on the Islamic perspective is the main feature of the government in Iran, which acts to influence public opinion by symbolizing tradition and religion, the media, and the educational network. The findings of the research also show that the Iranian government seeks to manage public opinion by creating Islamic-Shiite symbols. But globalization, social networks and global media and social and economic factors have challenged the efficiency of the Iranian government in controlling public opinion. Considering the reduction of the government's hegemonic efficiency over public opinion in Iran, it seems that it is possible to dominate public opinion by making new symbols and making the government more efficient and bureaucratic structural reforms in the direction of the comprehensive development of Iran. According to the nature of the subject, the research method is qualitative and descriptive-analytical. The collection of research data was done through library studies and document review.
