Abstract

First, in this article, the writings of Ayatollah Taleghani and Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi were studied, and then, in order to compare their views, we made a table, which includes columns of the common and different points of the opinions of these two scientists. And by using the method of qualitative analysis - thematic analysis - to these questions: (What are the views and definitions of Taleghani and Mesbah-Yazdi regarding the concepts of "Revolution" and "Islamic Revolution of Iran"? And what are the theoretical differences? Answer gave we have given.
Then we concluded that they agree on the definition of revolution in the foundations of Islamic ontology and epistemology. But Mr. Taleghani's approach has one-factor, negative, political characteristics and the propositions "relationship between the tyrant and the oppressed" and "the role of the masses and the council in the government" are visible in his definition of "revolution" and the concept of "democracy" in the proposition "religious democracy" It is of great importance to him.
However, Mr. Mesbah-Yazdi's approach has positive, cultural, and multifactorial characteristics, and the concepts of "the role of the leader, people, elites, agents, and social institutions" are evident in his definition of "revolution". Also, the concept of "Islamism" in the proposition of "religious democracy" is more important for him.
