Abstract
The main goal of this article is to analyze the content of discourse works of religious intellectuals using James Paul Jay's discourse analysis theory. During the Islamic revolution, religious intellectuals referenced books such as Holy Quran and the Evolution of Living Beings, Yes, Brother, It Was Like That, and The Recognition of the Iranian-Islamic Identity. Author aims to explore the analysis of the content of discourses by religious intellectuals during the Islamic revolution based on James Paul Jay's theory. The method employed in this article is discourse analysis using James Paul Jay's theory, which is specialized in describing text structures, identifying linguistic elements, and analyzing their relationships. The findings reveal that religious intellectuals' works and books address key concepts such as monotheism, resurrection, East-West conflicts, Eastern dependence on Western products, and the hardships faced by laborers in constructing the Egyptian pyramids. Additionally, concepts like worldly worshipers, God worshipers, Abu Dhar Ghaffari, Abu Ali Sina, Hallaj, Westernized Adam as an identity, national identity, alienation, Western and Eastern countries, and identity formation are discussed. The article also delves into the relationships between religious and modern groups, prophets and philosophers, society and religion, and Western and Eastern nations. Furthermore, it explores connections between objects and phenomena, actions of Shiite clergy in revolutionary movements, and critical perspectives on Islamic scholars' arguments regarding monotheism and science. Lastly, it examines human discourse on beliefs, evolution of living beings, historical impacts on culture, and how individuals interact with technology.
