Identifying the Causes of Genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar

Abstract
In recent years, Rohingya violence against Muslims in Myanmar has attracted the attention of public opinion, so the question has always been, "What is the reason for the catastrophic violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar?" The hypothesis of the paper, examined in a descriptive-analytical way, is that the identity conflict between Rohingya Muslims and Burmese nationalists, which is also associated with political concerns, plays an important role in the genocide in Myanmar. Although the study of this issue is very important due to the sensitivity of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Muslims of the world, it has received less attention in the field of research, and therefore, the writing of this article can be considered important. The findings of this article show that when social gaps, are politicalized, these gaps are more likely to be activated in the form of bloody conflicts. The practical translation of this statement is that the Myanmar nationalist mindset that the Muslims were trying to establish an Islamic state based on the Arakan kingdom caused their reaction to the Rohingya Muslims to be violent.
