During the recent years, new communication technologies, specially the Internet and social networks on the Internet, have turned to be a major source for mobilization and organization of social movements across the globe. The recent movements in Arab states of the Middle East and North Africa made use of new communication technologies and put on display a new form of revolution and mass mobilization in this region wherein people sought meeting their legitimate rights. The role of mass media in general and Internet and social networks in particular was very important ever since the outset of the movements. These communication tools promoted public awareness on one side and on the other side, accelerated the demonstrations and expansion of the movement to all cities because of possessing diversified capabilities. It is believed that large social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and personal weblogs have served as powerful and influential channels for the people of Egypt who had long suffered state censorship. Moreover, Internet and social networks brought about development of political concepts and mass mobilization for political activities in Egypt. }, keywords = {Social Movement,Egypt,Internet,Social networks,Facebook,Twitter}, title_fa = {بررسی نقش اینترنت در جنبش اجتماعی مصر}, abstract_fa = {هدف از این پژوهش، بررسی نقش اینترنت در جنبش اجتماعی اخیر مصر است که سرانجام در ژانویه 2011 موجب سرنگونی دولت حسنی مبارک شد. در سالهای اخیر، فناوریهای جدید ارتباطی به‏ویژه رسانههای اجتماعی اینترنتی به منابعی مهم برای بسیج اقدام جمعی و سازماندهی جنبشهای اجتماعی در سراسر جهان تبدیل‏شدهاند. جنبش‏های اخیر در خاورمیانه عربی و شمال آفریقا با بهره‌گیری از فناوریهای جدید ارتباطی، شکلی جدید از انقلاب، جنبش و بسیج مردمی را در این منطقه به‏نمایش‏گذاشت و مردم در این کشورها خواستار احیای حقوق خود شدند. آنچه در این جنبشها پررنگ‏تر و تأثیرگذارتر از همه دیده‏میشد، رسانهها و به‏خصوص اینترنت و شبکه‏های اجتماعی آن است، زیرا از بدو شروع اعتراض‌ها نقش مهمی را در این جنبش‌ها ایفا کردند و از یک سو موجب آگاهی‌بخشی به مردم و ازسوی‏دیگر با داشتن قابلیتهای مختلف، سبب سرعت‏بخشی به اعتراض‏ها و گسترش آن در سطح منطقه شدند. عقیده بر این است که شبکههای بزرگ رسانه‏های اجتماعی مانند فیس‏بوک، توییتر و وبلاگهای شخصی به‏عنوان کانالهایی قدرتمند ظاهر شدند که به مردم مصر در عبور از سانسور دولتی، گسترش مفاهیم اصلاحات سیاسی، بسیج شهروندان برای شرکت در فعالیتهای سیاسی به‏عنوان منبعی مهم برای اقدام جمعی و سازماندهی جنبش یاری‏رسانند.}, keywords_fa = {جنبش اجتماعی,مصر,اینترنت,شبکه‌های اجتماعی,فیس‌بوک}, url = {https://iws.shahed.ac.ir/article_57.html}, eprint = {https://iws.shahed.ac.ir/article_57_90794db48da76d511d60e241f81d21ad.pdf} }
